Who I Am

My name is Haddie Daner and I am a proud Chinese, Jewish, American nonprofit worker and photographer. I was born in China, but grew up on the central coast of California where I was raised by my Jewish family.  I always had an eye for photos and first picked up a digital camera at 10 years old and continued to endure my passion for taking photos. In 2012, I bought a Fujifilm FinePix XP50 digital camera and took photos everywhere I went I took mostly nature and still photos. In December 2013, I received a Canon PowerShot SX500 for Hannukah and took photos more often. I then tried taking portraits of people and felt a different feeling I never had before. A deeper sense of satisfaction of capturing someone's smile. I would take photos of friends and family and in December of 2014, I upgraded drastically and bought a Canon Rebel Ti5. I took taking photos as a profession and started shooting photos professionally mostly senior portraits.

In 2016 I joined the Atascadero High School Yearbook and participated in the class for three consecutive years. I took photos, wrote captions, and edited the pages/photos. Much of my photos in the yearbooks are found in the track and field section, water polo, cross country, cheerleading, and boys basketball. In 2018 I was a Marketing Intern at the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce where I worked on creating and promoting digital posts for Facebook and would occasionally take photos and videos for their social media. I then graduated Atascadero High School  in 2019 and moved to Northern California to continue my education.

 

I attended Sonoma State University from 2019 - 2023 where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Wine Business Strategies and Management, with a minor in Jewish Studies. I was actively involved being a member and president of a Phi Sigma Sigma, Hillel of Sonoma County, Order of Omega Honor Society, and a lead campus tour guide. Being involved with these organizations I wore many hats as a member, leader, and maintaining all social media and marketing platforms.

After graduating Sonoma State University,  I attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from October 2023 - August 2024 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Non-Profit Management and Leadership. I spent a lot of time traveling over 9 different countries in Europe and published many Instagram reels on my personal Instagram enhancing my creative content skills.  

 

After gradating from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, I moved to Boston, Massachusetts and work as the current Development and Campus Outreach Coordinator for Hillel Council of New England. In my free time, I love to be outdoors, attend social events, and taking walks while stopping to take pictures. My combined passion for photography, connecting with others, and adventuring in the world is why I would be honored to work with you.
